Police Department

The Dimmitt Police Department is dedicated to serving and providing professional services to the citizens of Dimmitt. The Police Department has a strong commitment to our community, and we strive to provide a safe and secure place to live and visit. The Police Department provides 24 hour on-duty police coverage 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

  • The Racial Profiling Report is a report we are required to submit to the state every year regarding traffic stops conducted by our department.
  • Animal Control operates under the Police Department. All information for animal control can be found here. 
  • The Crime in Texas Dashboard is a link to the Texas Department of Public Safety website that contains crime statistics for the City of Dimmitt, as well as any other jurisdiction in Texas. Our crime statistics are submitted to the State on a monthly basis.
  • The dance permit application will needed to be completed and submitted back to the Police Department for approval.
