Fire Marshal

Welcome to the Dimmitt Fire Marshal’s Office page. We are responsible for the prevention of fires within the City of Dimmitt. We provide inspections and enforce the adopted International Fire Code. We also provide education for our citizens.

All personnel are certified as Fire Inspectors by the Texas Commission of Fire Protection. Personnel also have training in Public Fire Education. Staff will be trained and certified as Fire Investigators in the future.

The Fire Marshal’s Office is responsible for inspecting all nursing homes, daycares, and the hospital. All foster homes and people wanting to adopt need to have an inspection. These inspections are conducted by our Office.
