City Manager

The City Manager is appointed by the City Council and is responsible for the proper administration of all affairs of the city. In doing this, the City Manager:

  • Supervises the directors of all city departments.
  • Attends all meetings of the City Council.
  • Prepares the budget annually and submits it to the City Council.
  • Is responsible for the city budget’s administration after its adoption.
  • Prepares and submits to the City Council, at the end of the fiscal year, a complete report on the finances and administrative activities of the city for the preceding year.
  • Keeps the City Council advised of the financial condition and future needs of the city and make such recommendations as may seem to him advisable.
  • Perform such duties as may be prescribed by the city charter or required of him/her by the council.
