About Our Water
The Dimmitt Municipal Water System provides ground water from the Ogallala Aquifer located in Dimmitt and Castro County, Texas. The water and wastewater utilities serving the city are owned and operated by the City of Dimmitt. As of October 1, 2023, the standard (minimum) bill is $74.03.
Water Rates
The following monthly rates are charged for water services furnished to residential and commercial customers:

Sewer Rates
The following monthly rates are charged for sewer services furnished to residential and commercial customers:

Sanitation Rates
The following monthly rates are charged for sanitation (garbage) services furnished to residential and commercial customers. Commercial customers are billed per dumpster.

Other Fees
The city also charges a monthly fee for sewer maintenance and water storage tank maintenance. These fees help to ensure the city can properly maintain these utilities and keep them in good working order. The city also charges a monthly fee for mosquito spraying. This fee assists the city in providing not only ground spraying by the Public Works Department, but also aerial spraying by our local sprayers.

Water Tap
The established fee for water taps was set by the City Council and includes the cost of material and labor. A deposit fee will need to be paid by the property owner before any work begins. The City of Dimmitt reserves the right to increase these fees based on the distance required by some taps. Fees are as follows:
